Deepika Padukone Fought Malaria on Housefull Set

Sixteen years after the release of the hit comedy "Housefull," actress Lara Dutta revealed that co-star Deepika Padukone was diagnosed with malaria during the film's production. Dutta recounted that Padukone heroically continued to shoot, battling significant fever and exhaustion. She remained committed to her scenes, demonstrating remarkable professionalism.

Dutta shared that Padukone was "completely drained" and required medical attention while filming. Despite her serious illness, which "absolutely wipes you out," Padukone's performance did not falter. Dutta expressed admiration for her colleague's dedication and focus, emphasizing how such commitment contributes to cinematic magic.

The ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, created a memorable experience, with producer Sajid Nadiadwala fostering a comfortable environment.
