On the Funky Friday podcast with Cam Newton, streamer and rapper DDG offered a rare glimpse into his 'real' voice, a deeper tone he claims is his natural sound.
DDG explained that he refrains from using this voice publicly due to significant insecurity. He fears that his deeper tone would lead listeners to not take him seriously, citing a past instance where Sexyy Red reacted with shock and laughter after hearing it in 2024.
He further elaborated that his preference for his regular voice stems from a desire to be more relatable to his audience. DDG believes using his deeper voice would hinder his growth as a musical artist and content creator, as many perceive it as a joke rather than his authentic self.
