This marks the seventh consecutive year Clarkson has been nominated in both categories, having previously secured four wins in each.
Competing against Clarkson for best daytime talk series host are the hosts of The View: Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro. The View itself is also nominated for best daytime talk series, a category it previously won in 2003. Other nominees for best daytime talk series include Live With Kelly and Mark, The Drew Barrymore Show, and two Today Show offshoots.
