Walliams' Career Meltdown: BGT, Little Britain & Personal Struggles

David Walliams has experienced a significant career shift after leaving Britain's Got Talent due to offensive remarks made during auditions. This departure strained his relationship with Simon Cowell, with reports indicating they are no longer on speaking terms, a stark contrast to their previous close association.

Compounding these challenges, the sketch show "Little Britain," which Walliams co-created with Matt Lucas, was removed from streaming services like Netflix and the BBC in 2022. The decision was attributed to its controversial content, including racial stereotypes and instances of actors using blackface, reflecting changing societal attitudes.

Despite these setbacks, Walliams has found continued success in literature with his children's books. He is also exploring new avenues through a podcast with Matt Lucas, "Making A Scene," as he navigates his transition away from mainstream television and addresses personal struggles, including past suicidal thoughts and a previous phase of sex addiction.
