Filmmaker David Lynch's Hollywood Hills compound has sold for $13 million, approximately six months after being listed for $15 million. Lynch acquired the initial pink 1960s house, designed by Lloyd Wright, in 1987 for $560,000. Over the years, he transformed the property into a 2.5-acre estate.
During his decades of ownership, Lynch expanded the compound by adding an adjacent Brutalist house in 1989 and a studio in 1995. He also commissioned Eric Lloyd Wright, son of the original architect, to design a pool and pool house. The estate comprises about seven buildings totaling 11,000 square feet.
Lynch viewed his home as an extension of his creative life, designing some of its metalwork himself. Following his death in 2025, his children expressed gratitude that the property would pass to someone interested in its preservation. The sale occurred amidst a rise in Los Angeles property sales, though buyers are exercising caution.
