Comedian David Cross has released his ninth career comedy special, "The End of the Beginning of the End," available starting today exclusively on his website. It will become widely available on YouTube on April 7.
Filmed in Athens, Georgia, at the historic 40 Watt venue, the special confronts the complexities of modern America. Cross aims his sharp wit at authoritarian politics, reproductive rights, religious extremism, and late-stage capitalism.
In a humorous twist, Cross quipped that the special was written by "some of the cheapest AI available." He also playfully directed interested parties to a fictional AI service in Fairhaven, Florida.
Cross directed the project himself, with production handled by YMH Studios and other collaborators. Distribution is overseen by 800 Pound Gorilla Media. The Emmy Award-winner has been performing stand-up for over four decades.
