- Charvet expressed interest in reprising his Baywatch role after 30 years.
David Charvet, a participant on "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test," recently spoke about his time on the popular '90s show "Baywatch." He stated that he was 19 years old when he joined the series in 1992 and expressed a desire to return to the franchise. Charvet claimed he played a role in casting Pamela Anderson, his girlfriend at the time, by recommending her to the show's producers.
Anderson's 2023 memoir, "Love, Pamela," presents an alternative narrative. She detailed that "Baywatch" casting directors contacted her persistently after her "Playboy" cover gained attention. She eventually accompanied Charvet to an audition, where producers immediately offered her a role. Anderson noted that while Charvet also secured a part, her hiring marked the beginning of the end for their relationship.
