Daredevil's Mother Maggie Grace's Return Crucial for Final Season

The upcoming third season of Daredevil: Born Again will mark the series' finale, according to recent reports. This news follows the departure of showrunner Dario Scardapane and arrives as expectations for the final episodes heighten. Fans are particularly hoping for the return of Maggie Grace, the mother of Matt Murdock.

Maggie, portrayed by Joanne Whalley, was first introduced in Daredevil's third season, revealing her past connection to Matt's father, Jack Murdock, and her struggles with postpartum depression. Though she later offered support to her son, Maggie took a sabbatical in Rome, and her absence in Born Again has been noted.

With Matt Murdock currently imprisoned after revealing his identity as Daredevil, many believe his mother's presence would be invaluable. Her potential return to Hell's Kitchen could offer him a vital support system. Furthermore, the season is anticipated to feature the reunion of other Defenders, including Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, alongside Danny Rand.

Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple is also a hoped-for returnee. Daredevil: Born Again's final season is scheduled to premiere in March 2027, offering one last arc for the beloved character. Fans can stream the previous seasons of Daredevil and its parent series on Disney+.
