Summary
- Dame Shirley Bassey recorded three original songs for the series.
- She inspired the character Celestina Warbeck in the books.
- Her songs feature in the Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets audiobook.

Legendary singer Dame Shirley Bassey has officially joined the magical world of Harry Potter, decades after inspiring a beloved character. She has contributed three original songs to the new Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions, an ambitious audio series produced by Pottermore and Audible.
Bassey's distinctive voice now brings music to life for Celestina Warbeck, a character J.K. Rowling envisioned as resembling the Welsh singer. Rowling herself has previously praised Celestina as a favorite off-stage character, noting her resemblance to Bassey in looks and style. The songs were recorded with a 17-piece big band, with Bassey's parts laid down in France and the band in London.
The new audio recordings, featuring Bassey's music, are now available for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This release marks Bassey as the latest major star to contribute to the Audible productions, joining a cast that includes Hugh Laurie, Matthew Macfadyen, Riz Ahmed, and Michelle Gomez.
