In November 2025, Leith Fleming-Smith, a former Dalhousie University student, is now one of Halifax's most sought-after musicians. His remarkable journey began in 2012 when, as a 19-year-old electrical engineering student, he attended a frosh event where the R&B funk band The Mellotones was performing. Impressed by their show, Fleming-Smith joined the band on stage, seizing the unexpected opportunity.
