Dakota Fanning Recalls Adorable Orlando Bloom Moment

Dakota Fanning, at 32, recently shared a fond memory from her childhood career on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. She recalled winning the Critics' Choice Award for Best Young Actor in 2002 when she was just 7 years old.

During her acceptance speech, Fanning was too short to reach the microphone. Presenter Orlando Bloom then picked her up, holding her as she delivered her remarks. The actress admitted that the footage of this moment is frequently shown to her by friends and family, much to her amusement.

Fanning also remembered thanking God, her agents, and her parents and sister, Elle, during her speech. She has encountered Bloom several times since, and they often joke about the incident. She humorously suggested that they should recreate the iconic bit at a future Critics' Choice Awards ceremony.
