Daisy Shah transforms into IPS officer for Kashmir film

Daisy Shah is preparing for her role as an IPS officer in the forthcoming film, 'DGP Kashmir.' The teaser for this movie was recently unveiled. While Shah has previously acted as a police officer, this role as an IPS officer is distinct and special, as the film draws inspiration from actual events in Kashmir. Director Imtiyaz Bhat, who grew up in Kashmir, aims to showcase the bravery of security forces and police officers.

Shah views her role as a tribute to the unsung heroes of Kashmir, whose stories she believes need to be told. The film promises to reveal a different side of her acting capabilities, particularly in action sequences. Filming for her part is scheduled to commence in July. Shah is currently preparing for the physically demanding aspects of the role, noting that her background as a national-level shooter will be advantageous in portraying the character authentically.
