Stranger Things actor Dacre Montgomery has joined the cast of Caine, a new John Wick universe film directed by and starring Donnie Yen. Montgomery will play an undisclosed role alongside Yen as the blind assassin Caine and Rina Sawayama as Akira.
The film's plot is expected to follow Caine's journey after his obligations to The High Table concluded in John Wick: Chapter 4. Production for the Lionsgate project is currently underway.
Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee are producing through their Thunder Road production banner, with Chad Stahelski also producing via 87Eleven Entertainment. Keanu Reeves and John Saunders are also producers. Donnie Yen will serve as an executive producer.
The screenplay is penned by Mattson Tomlin and Michael McGrale. Donnie Yen is recognized for his work in "Ip Man," "Flash Point," and "Hero." Montgomery's notable credits include "Stranger Things," "Elvis," and "Power Rangers."
