- A new book and gallery show present these intimate photographic works.

Thousands of previously unknown photo negatives, primarily from the 1950s and 60s, have been discovered, offering a rare and intimate look at the life of artist Cy Twombly. The negatives were found in the attic of a house in Ronciglione, Italy, by Twombly's granddaughter, Maia Twombly.
Tatia Franchetti, Cy Twombly's wife, took most of the photographs, capturing the artist in relaxed moments. This discovery has led to the publication of a new book titled "Stella Honey," a term of endearment Twombly used for his wife. A gallery show featuring these photographs is scheduled to open on June 3, 2026, at Spazio Treccani Arte in Rome.
