Summary
- Bride wore a custom lehenga constructed purely from crystals and metallic sheen.
- The unique bridal ensemble required 15,000 hours to create.
- Bride also designed her own stunning diamond and ruby wedding jewelry.

Jewellery designer Shweana Poy Raiturcar married Vikram Salgaocar, nephew of Mukesh Ambani, on February 12 in Mumbai. The bride captivated guests in a revolutionary, fabric-less lehenga designed by Monica Shah. This remarkable creation, a testament to Indian artistry, was meticulously crafted over 15,000 hours using only sparkling crystals and metallic threads.
The lehenga revived the rare Mughal-era kasab technique, employing metallic threads as both its structure and surface. Rose gold, gold, and antique gold threads were woven into a glowing, net-like pattern, giving the appearance of molten metal. Elements like raffia weaving and Swarovski crystals enhanced its majestic form.
Shweana complemented her unique attire with her own jewelry designs, including diamond-and-ruby necklaces, a maang tikka, chandelier jhumkis, and a striking diamond-studded nath. The Ambani family, including Nita, Isha, and Radhika Merchant, were also present, dressed in elegant ethnic wear.
