Crunchyroll has substantially increased its investment in Thailand by introducing a Thai-language user interface and expanding its localized anime library. The platform now provides Thai subscribers with access to over 500 titles, including more than 70 that are Thai-dubbed and 300 with Thai subtitles. This extensive rollout adds over 70 new titles, comprising 26 additional Thai dubs and 44 Thai-subtitled offerings.
The expansion coincides with a reported 50% year-over-year surge in viewership from Thailand, positioning the country as a key market for anime engagement. The streamer plans further content growth throughout 2026, with an additional 147 subtitled and dubbed titles scheduled, alongside 19 catalog titles slated for Thai dubbing. By July 2026, Crunchyroll anticipates offering approximately 772 anime titles in Thailand, with 228 featuring Thai dubs.
To support this initiative, Crunchyroll is launching its "Choose Unordinary" brand campaign in Thailand. The platform's president stated that Thailand is a rapidly growing anime market in Southeast Asia, and the enhanced offerings aim to make anime more accessible to local fans. Crunchyroll will also sponsor live music concerts at the upcoming Animonium 2026 festival in Bangkok.
