Premiering on March 22, the BBC's adaptation of J.J. Arcanjo's "Crookhaven" novels offers a unique take on a secret school for young criminals. The series follows eight international students, known as Crooklings, who are taught to hone their illicit skills for benevolent purposes, aiming to restore justice and order.
Set against the backdrop of Northern Ireland, the show stars Lucas Leach as Gabriel, a pickpocketing prodigy, and Carmel Laniado as Penelope, the headmaster's daughter. They, along with their peers, compete for the coveted Crooked Cup while facing a formidable foe, The Nameless. The BBC Studios Kids & Family division produced this anticipated series, known for its Oliver Twist spin-off, "Dodger."
