Crimson Desert has received its most ambitious update yet with Version 1.04.00, a substantial 37GB patch now live on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. This update introduces significant changes across nearly all game aspects, including new difficulty settings.
Players can now select from Easy, Normal, and Hard modes, with boss encounters becoming more challenging on higher difficulties. The housing system has also been greatly expanded, offering new storage solutions and multiple house layouts for players to customize their functional hubs.
Content additions include new pets like birds and cats, along with the ability to rename companions. New weapons and armor sets are available, alongside thirteen new tattoos and dye options for select armor. Combat has been refined for better flow and responsiveness, with bosses no longer immune during powerful attacks.
Quality-of-life improvements feature streamlined inventory management with categorized tabs and stackable items. The map has also been upgraded with more detailed information and quest markers. Visual fidelity has been enhanced, alongside new accessibility features such as colorblind mode and larger subtitles.
