Zach Gilford's Voit Written Off Criminal Minds Season 20

Criminal Minds: Evolution is gearing up for its 20th season, but fans will see a notable absence as Zach Gilford's character, Elias Voit, has been written off the show. Gilford, who played the primary antagonist in the previous season, acknowledged that his character could not remain indefinitely, even humorously suggesting a spinoff titled 'Criminal Minds: Voit.'

Despite Voit's departure, the core cast of Criminal Minds: Evolution is largely returning. Viewers can expect Joe Mantegna as Rossi, A.J. Cook as JJ, Kirsten Vangsness as Garcia, Aisha Tyler as Tara, Adam Rodriguez as Luke, and Paget Brewster as Prentiss to reprise their roles. Ryan-James Hatanaka will also continue to be a significant presence on the show. Gilford expressed that leaving the series was difficult, emphasizing the character's complexity and the satisfaction of giving him a nuanced exit.
