Cricketer's Infidelity Shatters Marriage: Dhanashree Verma Speaks Out

In a recent appearance on the reality show 'Rise and Fall', choreographer Dhanashree Verma has finally broken her silence on her marriage with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Verma disclosed that the relationship was troubled from the very beginning, with Chahal cheating on her within just 2 months of their December 2020 wedding.

When asked by actor Kubbra Sait when Verma realized the marriage was a mistake, she replied, "First year. Caught him in the second month." The couple, who first connected during online dance sessions in the COVID-19 lockdown, filed for divorce by mutual consent in February 2025. Their marriage formally ended the following month.

Verma clarified that the divorce process was quick and amicable, dismissing speculation around alimony. She also reflected on the emotional weight of the separation, recounting how she "started howling in front of everybody" when the verdict was delivered, even though they were "so well-prepared mentally."

Despite the tumultuous end to their marriage, Verma has emphasized her focus on personal well-being and not giving in to public noise. She is now set to make her Telugu debut with a dance-based film 'Akasam Daati Vastaava'.
