Creature Forgives Creator in Visually Stunning 'Frankenstein' Adaptation

Acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has brought a fresh perspective to Mary Shelley's iconic novel 'Frankenstein' in his latest cinematic adaptation. The movie, which premiered earlier this year, follows the story from the viewpoints of both the creator, Victor Frankenstein, and his Creature.

Oscar Isaac stars as the crazed scientist Victor, who sets out to conquer death by bringing a Creature to life, played by Jacob Elordi. In a departure from previous interpretations, del Toro's film humanizes the Creature, showing him as a newly minted being struggling to find his place in the world. The director also explores the cycle of generational trauma, as Victor's abusive relationship with his own father is mirrored in his treatment of the Creature.

To complement the film's launch, a fully immersive and free exhibit titled 'Frankenstein: Crafting a Tale Eternal' is currently open at the Old Selfridges Hotel in London. The exhibit showcases rare editions of Shelley's original novel, as well as the intricate costumes and production design elements that brought del Toro's vision to life.
