Residents can anticipate a hub of entertainment, learning, and collaboration unfolding across various local venues.
The project, a collaboration between Lichfield Garrick Theatre, Lichfield District Council, and Burntwood Town Council, will offer a wealth of free and affordable creative opportunities. Early events include interactive storytelling for children, puppetry, magic shows, and theatrical performances for adults, alongside a community choir taster session. Organizers emphasize that the project is shaped by local input and aims to foster creativity for all age groups.
An informational drop-in event is scheduled for 14 January at Chase Terrace Community Centre, featuring presentations at 15:00 and 19:00 GMT. This initiative is part of Arts Council England's Place Partnership programme, utilizing National Lottery funding to connect communities with local heritage and enhance creative education. "Creative Burntwood" seeks to unlock the town's untapped creativity and foster a strong sense of community involvement.
