The acclaimed play "This Is Crazy!" by V, creator of "The Vagina Monologues," is set for a significant performance in Los Angeles. This event, scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, will feature a notable ensemble cast.
Natasha Rothwell is the most recent addition to a cast that already includes Marisa Tomei, Rosanna Arquette, and Rudy Pankow, among others. The play, which explores themes of mental illness, family, and survival, is dedicated to the memory of Chris Huvane, a talent manager who died by suicide in 2022.
Produced by Huvane's former sister-in-law Ruth-Ann Huvane, a mental health advocate, and Tony Montenieri, the production aims to raise crucial funds and awareness. All proceeds from the Los Angeles performance will directly benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), supporting its advocacy and educational initiatives. The show previously premiered in New York City last October with a different cast.
