The 23rd edition of CPH:DOX, Copenhagen's International Documentary Film Festival, is set to run from March 11 to March 22, 2026. The festival will present a diverse lineup of 200 films, including a significant 86 world premieres.
This year's program focuses on two central themes: "Right Here, Right Now," which critically examines human and civil rights in a contested global landscape, and "Brain Waves," an exploration into consciousness and how technology is reshaping human experience.
The festival aims to reflect a world in flux, addressing geopolitical tensions, AI disruption, and the climate crisis. Special guest presentations and a dedicated music program, featuring documentaries and live performances, are also highlighted.
CPH:DOX is extending its reach beyond Copenhagen, with the Dox:Danmark initiative involving 61 municipalities nationwide. An online component will follow on the festival's streaming platform, PARA:DOX, from March 20 to April 5, 2026.
