The Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival (CPH:DOX) has revealed its full program for its 23rd edition, scheduled for March 11-22, 2026. Described as a "double take on a world gone mad," the festival will feature Juliette Binoche, John Wilson, and Louis Theroux.
Artistic director Niklas Engstrøm noted the program spans global hotspots from the Arctic to the Kremlin, addressing urgent geopolitical issues, AI, Big Tech, and climate change. Two central themes, "Right Here, Right Now" and "Brain Waves," will examine human rights and how technology reshapes human experience and consciousness.
Engstrøm emphasized documentary film's vital role in slowing down and fostering understanding in a fast-paced world. The festival will also present a music program, including documentaries on artists such as Nick Cave, Marianne Faithfull, and Lydmor, alongside explorations of various music traditions.
