Summary
- High Court lifted the interim stay on 'The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond'.
- An eight-member expert committee reviewed the film, including social workers.
- The film's producers appealed the single-judge bench's stay order.

The Kerala High Court has lifted the interim stay on the release of 'The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond,' a decision producer Vipul Shah welcomed. The High Court's order means the film can now proceed with its release.
Shah revealed that the film underwent a review by an eight-member expert committee, exceeding the usual five-member panel. This special committee included two social workers from Kerala and a Delhi-based professor specializing in socio-political subjects. Their feedback was considered before the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted the film its certificate.
A Division Bench of the High Court set aside a previous order by a single-judge bench that had imposed a 15-day stay on the film. The single judge had also directed the CBFC to review representations against the movie's censor certificate, questioning the U/A rating. The producers swiftly filed an appeal against this ruling.
Recognizing the urgency, the Division Bench held a special session to hear the appeal. After over two hours of arguments, the Bench lifted the interim stay on Friday, clearing the legal path for the film's release. A revised release date has not yet been announced by the producers. The film is directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh.
