In 2023, country singer Alexandra Kay released her debut album "All I've Ever Known," which chronicled a "pretty traumatic time" in her life following a painful divorce. However, her new album "Second Wind," set to release on October 24, 2025, showcases a very different perspective.
Now signed to BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, Kay is writing from a place of joy and fulfillment, both personally and professionally. The album takes inspiration from her current relationship with musician and bandmate Rocko Beall, as Kay consciously decided to explore the process of opening her heart to love again.
Kay's ascendant trajectory has also been fueled by her experience opening shows for labelmate Jelly Roll in 2024. Jelly, known for his "gritty hustle," helped introduce Kay to country radio and gave her the opportunity to perform in arenas, which she credits with changing her life.
As Kay prepares to release her first single "Straight for the Heart" to country radio next month, she's also expanding her "Coffee Girl" brand by opening her own coffee shop in her home state of Illinois in June 2025. With her unique blend of country, pop, and hip-hop influences, Alexandra Kay is poised to cement her status as a rising star in the genre.
