Country Music Icon Kenny Chesney Inducted into Hall of Fame

In a star-studded ceremony on October 20, 2025, country music icon Kenny Chesney, 57, was officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Chesney joined the 2025 class, which also included the late June Carter Cash and producer Tony Brown.

The induction ceremony was a poignant moment for Chesney, who admitted he had never felt truly "accomplished" in his career until that day. During his 15-minute acceptance speech, Chesney overflowed with gratitude for the family, friends, colleagues, and mentors who have supported him over the decades.

Chesney's induction was celebrated with performances by fellow country artists Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, and Eric Church, all of whom have toured with Chesney. June Carter Cash's induction, 45 years after her husband Johnny Cash, was marked by emotional performances from Kacey Musgraves, Keb' Mo', and Lukas Nelson. Her children, John Carter Cash and Carlene Carter, chose Hall of Fame member Emmylou Harris to induct their mother, who they assured the audience was "watching over us" from above.
