Summary
- CORTIS explores conscious choices through "red vs green" concept.
- Members actively participated in songwriting, choreography, and visuals.
- Debut EP sold over 2 million units; new EP pre-orders match.

K-pop group CORTIS is entering a significant career phase with its pre-release track "REDRED," a prelude to their second EP, GREENGREEN, due May 4. The five members, Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho, revealed the song in Seoul.
"REDRED" delves into the compelling contrast of "red versus green" to articulate the group's deliberate choices in both their music and lyrical content. This concept emerged organically during the creative process, according to member Juhoon.
Sonically, the track merges CORTIS' hip-hop roots with a catchy, repetitive structure, designed for easy recall in the age of short-form content. The members' hands-on approach is a hallmark, with deep involvement in songwriting, production, choreography, and visual planning, as highlighted by Seonghyeon.
CORTIS has demonstrated significant commercial traction; their debut EP achieved over 2 million cumulative sales, and GREENGREEN has already matched this in pre-orders. Despite strong sales, the group prioritizes authenticity, as stated by Martin: "We think about whether the music feels like us."
