Corey Glover Reimagines Black Sabbath's 'The Wizard'

All-star collective One Tribe Nation has released a powerful new live cover of Black Sabbath's "The Wizard," featuring lead vocals by Living Colour frontman Corey Glover. The ensemble, known for blending rock, soul, and Afro-Latin rhythms, reimagined the classic track as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. This fiery rendition is available for streaming ahead of the group's performance on Saturday, July 25, at The Den Studios in Los Angeles for "The Bluesadelic Sessions."

The release also precedes One Tribe Nation's forthcoming studio album, "Estado Dorado," scheduled for later this year. Glover expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the immediate connection with founding guitarist Michael Sanders. He looks forward to the July 25th performance, describing it as a "jam" where songs can reveal new dimensions.

Glover also discussed the band's approach to covering well-known songs, aiming to put a unique spin on them while respecting the original artist's intent. He noted a particular fondness for their upcoming rendition of Rare Earth's "I Just Want to Celebrate." The conversation touched upon the importance of music education, an area Glover actively supports through his own curriculum and work with the David Z Foundation.
