Remedy has unveiled extended gameplay for Control Resonant, the upcoming sequel set to launch in 2026. This new installment shifts the protagonist from Jesse Faden to her brother, Dylan, who was a central figure in the first game.
Players will journey through a radically altered New York City, a departure from the confined spaces of the Federal Bureau of Control. This warped urban environment promises to defy the laws of physics, with buildings and streets behaving in unpredictable ways.
Dylan's combat abilities are also a significant evolution, emphasizing melee attacks. He wields the Aberrant, a unique shapeshifting weapon capable of transforming into various forms, similar to how Jesse's firearm could in the original game.
Remedy has indicated that the game will "get weirder," hinting at further unconventional mechanics and a truly mind-bending experience. Control Resonant is expected to arrive in 2026.
