In a move to bolster its global content strategy, Los Angeles-based sales firm Concourse Media has appointed Kristin Harris as its new Head of Acquisitions. Harris, who most recently served as SVP of Production & Development at distributor Vertical Entertainment, will now oversee all aspects of Concourse's acquisition and packaging efforts.
During her tenure at Vertical, Harris worked on several notable films, including The Astronaut, Sharp Corner, Sam & Kate, Abandoned, Prey, Parallel, and The Bayou. Prior to that, she held senior positions at Good Deed Entertainment, Cineverse, Overture Films, and Starz Media.
At Concourse, Harris will collaborate closely with company founder Matthew Shreder and the firm's financing partners to identify viable projects. Shreder launched Concourse 15 years ago after exiting IM Global, and the company now holds a library of nearly 50 films, including The Little Hours, Chief of Station, and Sovereign.
"Concourse has become a trusted mainstay in the indie film forum over the past 15 years, and I'm honored to be leading the charge on their global content strategy," said Harris. "As the company enters this new phase, I'm committed to supporting distinct filmmaking voices and connecting their compelling stories with consumer audiences."
