A passenger from the first British Airways Concorde commercial flight, Anthony Hopkins, has donated a significant archive of mementos to the National Museum of Flight. The collection captures items from the January 21, 1976, journey from London to Bahrain.
This unique collection features tickets, luggage tags, promotional materials, and the in-flight menu, which was signed by many passengers. The menu details a luxurious three-course meal with canapés and champagne, reflecting the premium experience of Concorde travel.
The archive is now housed alongside the British Airways G-BOAA Concorde aircraft at East Fortune Airfield. The museum's assistant curator of aviation, Ian Brown, described the donation as "absolutely unique" and invaluable for personalizing the history of the supersonic jet.
