Composer's Unfulfilled Dream: Composing for Actor-CM Vijay

Composer Sai Abhyankkar recently disclosed that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay personally expressed his enjoyment of Abhyankkar's viral song, "Aasa Kooda." This admiration holds significant weight for the composer, who has long looked up to Vijay.

Abhyankkar shared that Vijay's appreciation is deeply meaningful, so much so that he sometimes visualizes the actor during his creative process. This connection stems from Vijay being a lifelong inspiration for Abhyankkar, who always aspired to compose music for him.

Reflecting on Vijay's transition into politics, Abhyankkar acknowledged a mixed emotional response. While he is happy about Vijay's Chief Minister role, the realization that he can no longer compose for him brings sadness. He admitted some compositions feel destined for "Thalapathy" even if scored for others.

For Abhyankkar, the prospect of composing for Vijay was an "absolute dream," one that he feels he would have pursued with immense dedication. He noted that while Vijay was once a cinema hero, he has now become a unanimous hero for everyone, occupying a larger stage.

Currently, Abhyankkar is working on "Raaka" with director Atlee and Allu Arjun, a project he views as a significant opportunity following his rapid career growth since his first song in 2024.
