In a major career milestone, comedian Sarah Sherman is set to tape her debut HBO comedy special in her hometown of St. Louis this October. The razor-tongued roaster and recent Golden Globes host will perform the special in front of a sold-out crowd at the Fabulous Fox Theatre as part of her "Alive and Unwell" tour.
The yet-to-be-titled special will be directed by Hamish Hamilton, who previously helmed Sherman's last HBO special, "Someday You'll Die." The special will be produced by Done + Dusted and executive produced by Sherman, David Jammy, Chris Convy and Alex Murray.
Following its taping, the special is expected to air on HBO sometime in 2026. It will also be made available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ internationally, marking the latest high-profile comic to join the streamer's "Hularious" lineup. Sherman, one of the most celebrated and highest-grossing stand-up comedians in recent years, is poised to deliver another standout performance for her devoted fans.
