Summary
- Tour bus experienced a sudden tire blowout while driving in North Dakota.
- The vehicle caught fire hours later while waiting for repairs.
- The crew narrowly avoided being inside the bus during the fire.

A tour bus carrying comedian Bert Kreischer's crew experienced a serious breakdown and subsequent fire in North Dakota. The incident began early Sunday morning with a sudden and unusual tire blowout on the front right wheel while traveling from Fargo to Cedar Rapids. The drivers, despite their extensive experience, had never encountered such a failure.
The bus pulled over on Interstate 94 amid a snowstorm. As overnight tire delivery was impossible, Kreischer and others continued their journey on separate buses, leaving the disabled vehicle and its driver behind.
Later that morning, around 11 AM, the driver heard a popping sound from the front roof area. Within seconds, smoke filled the bus, and it was soon engulfed in flames. The front of the bus was destroyed, with the rear sustaining smoke damage.
Kreischer's representative noted the crew's good fortune, as they typically sleep in the back of the bus, potentially trapping them had the fire started earlier. Kreischer later shared an image of the destroyed bus, confirming everyone's safety.
