Collin Gosselin Finds His Voice in New Memoir

Collin Gosselin, one of the eight children from the reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8," is set to release his memoir on October 13, 2026. Titled "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood," the book will offer a personal account of his upbringing.

Collin expressed that for years, he kept his experiences private due to fear or a feeling of not being ready to share. He indicated that the memoir delves into difficult periods of his life.

Writing the book allowed Collin to revisit challenging moments and, crucially, helped him find his "voice." He asserts that his story is not what the public might assume, but rather the reality he has lived.

The announcement follows years of public discussion about Collin's upbringing. He was previously sent to a behavioral health institution by his mother, Kate Gosselin, in 2016. He later moved in with his father, Jon Gosselin, after Jon was awarded custody. Collin graduated high school in 2023 alongside his sister Hannah.
