Prime Video's "Off Campus," based on Elle Kennedy's novels, follows Hannah, a college freshman who orchestrates a fake relationship with hockey player Garrett. Her goal was to ignite jealousy in her true crush, musician Justin. However, Hannah and Garrett unexpectedly develop real feelings for each other.
Their budding romance is tested when Garrett encounters a player from a rival university who had assaulted Hannah in high school. Garrett's violent reaction to this revelation causes him to break up with Hannah, fearing his own temper. This breakup occurs before the season's conclusion.
Despite the separation, Garrett attends Hannah's music showcase. She performs an original song about overcoming her past trauma, which seems to inspire him. Following the performance, they meet and discuss their issues, ultimately deciding to get back together by the end of the season.
