Cole Brings Plenty's Family Questions Investigation

The family of Cole Brings Plenty, who appeared in the Yellowstone spinoff 1923, is publicly questioning the investigation into his death. Cole died at the age of 27, following a domestic violence incident in March 2026, for which a warrant had been issued for his arrest. Authorities were called to the scene, but Cole had already left.

His uncle, Mo Brings Plenty, who stars in Yellowstone, has voiced significant concerns. Mo believes the investigation into his nephew's disappearance and subsequent death was not adequately conducted, stating it was 'heartbreaking' for it to be dismissed as 'no foul play' without sufficient effort. He claims authorities were 'hunting' Cole rather than searching for him.

In response, the Lawrence Police Department issued a statement asserting they provided the family with a full presentation of evidence, including videos, witness statements, and photographs. The department indicated that a judge sealed all case files, including autopsy and law enforcement reports, at the family's request. They maintain that clear evidence shows no foul play and Cole acted alone, attributing public confusion to the family's messaging.
