New Studio Fuels Microdrama Boom

COL Group International's production studio in Zhuhai-Macau has officially commenced full operations. This significant expansion of their production infrastructure covers 220,000 square meters, featuring 170,000 square meters dedicated to production space with 94 indoor and outdoor sets.
The facility is engineered to support both long-form television dramas and high-volume microdrama content. TVB's "City of Splendour" began filming major interior sequences on January 20, 2026, and is slated for TVB's 2026 programming. Mango TV's microdrama "He Will Return Before Dawn" also entered the facility on January 17, 2026, for contemporary scenes.
This studio will also support original content for COL's global microdrama platform, FlareFlow. Timothy Oh, general manager of COL Group International, stated their aim is to support partners across the entire content value chain, from IP development to marketing. The facility is designed for parallel shoots and rapid set turnover, targeting partnerships across Greater China and the Asia-Pacific region.
