Code 404 is a police procedural comedy drama set in the near future, starring prominent British actors Stephen Graham and Daniel Mays. The series centers on DI John Major (Mays) and DI Roy Carver (Graham), two detectives in the Met Police Special Investigation Unit. When DI Major is killed on duty, a groundbreaking AI program is used to bring him back to life.
However, Carver soon suspects that this revived version of his partner is not quite the same. The plot thickens with the revelation that Carver shares a closer bond with Major's wife, Dr. Kelly Major, played by Anna Maxwell-Martin. The show successfully ran for three seasons before concluding due to the lead actors' busy schedules.
Critically acclaimed for its "energy and enthusiasm" and "infectious" nature, Code 404 offers a blend of silly one-liners and slapstick humor. The cast also includes Amanda Payton, Rosie Cavaliero, Richard Gadd, and Tracy Ann-Oberman, further enhancing the compelling narrative. All three seasons are currently available for streaming.
