Jordan Firstman's directorial debut, "Club Kid," is generating buzz ahead of its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The film, set in New York City, will have its world premiere in the prestigious Un Certain Regard section. Starring alongside Firstman are notable actors Cara Delevingne and Diego Calva.
The narrative centers on a washed-up party promoter whose life takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of a new visitor. "Club Kid" was shot on 35mm by Emmy-winning cinematographer Adam Newport-Berra. The project is produced by Alex Coco and Galen Core, with Topic Studios financing and producing.
UTA Independent Film Group has arranged the film's financing and is managing North American and global sales. International rights have been acquired by Paris-based sales agent Charades. Firstman, known for his internet-native creative work, also penned the script and stars in the film.
