Madelyn Cline Surprised by VMA Nod for Sabrina Carpenter Video

Madelyn Cline expressed her delight and surprise upon discovering that the "House Tour" music video, featuring herself, Sabrina Carpenter, and Margaret Qualley, has been nominated for a 2026 MTV Video Music Award. During an appearance on the Aug. 19 episode of Today, Cline learned of the nomination for Best Direction for Carpenter and Qualley. She enthusiastically reacted, stating her immediate willingness to participate in the video due to her long-standing friendship and admiration for Carpenter. The video, released in April, was filmed over two days entirely on film, depicting the trio ransacking a mansion. Carpenter herself received seven VMA nominations, highlighting a successful year for her music. The 2026 VMAs are scheduled to broadcast live from Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
