Digital Underground's Cleetis Mack Dies Unexpectedly

Cleetis Mack, a member of the renowned hip-hop group Digital Underground, has reportedly passed away. A representative confirmed Mack's unexpected death, stating it leaves an irreplaceable void within the group's family and their hearts. The cause of death and Mack's age at the time of his passing remain undisclosed.

Mack, also known by the nickname Clee, became a part of the iconic Oakland-based group in 1993. Digital Underground, originally formed in 1987, has a rich history in the hip-hop scene. Mack's musical contributions included an appearance on the track "Wussup Wit the Luv," which also featured the artist 2Pac before his solo career.

The group highlighted Mack's integral role, describing him as more than a member but the "soul behind it." His presence brought warmth, loyalty, and quiet strength, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him. Digital Underground, currently comprising Money-B and Young Hump, has not yet released a public statement regarding Mack's death.

This news follows the 2021 passing of founding member Shock G, who was 57 and died from an overdose of fentanyl, alcohol, and methamphetamine.
