Cinema's Classic Cars: A Festival of Speed & Screen

The Dastan Autoworld - Pranlal Bhogilal Collection is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a unique Car and Cinema Festival. Scheduled from February 27 to March 1, this event aims to bridge the gap between the public and the world of vintage and classic automobiles through the medium of cinema. The festival will showcase a curated selection of films that prominently feature cars, drawing from both Indian and international cinematic history.

Attendees can expect to see beloved movies such as "Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi" and "The Italian Job" as part of the film lineup. This special event underscores cinema's long-standing fascination with automobiles, immortalizing vehicles from iconic scenes. The museum's custodian, Brijesh Chinai, expressed enthusiasm for the festival, hinting at the possibility of making it a recurring event. Gautam Sen, a consultant for the museum, emphasized that the cars on display are more than just machines; they are historical artifacts, many acquired from former princely states, offering a deep dive into the past.
