Clarkson fires back at Packham's farm critique

Jeremy Clarkson has responded fiercely to comments made by naturalist Chris Packham about his farming series, Clarkson's Farm. Packham, appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox, criticized the show's animated opening credits, stating that farms are typically "horrible monocultures" rife with chemicals and confined animals.

Clarkson, writing in The Sun, dismissed Packham's critique as "blind fury" and "bulls**t," suggesting such comments are only well-received in niche activist circles. He also pointed out Packham had visited his farm in 2012 without raising similar concerns.

The fifth season of Clarkson's Farm also saw the presenter disclose his prostate cancer diagnosis. He received the aggressive cancer diagnosis in summer 2025 but kept it private until the episode aired. After a procedure to remove the cancer, Clarkson announced he is in remission and has begun filming for the sixth season.

This health scare followed a significant heart issue less than two years prior, when doctors indicated he was days away from a heart attack due to severe coronary artery disease. He underwent surgery to insert stents and declared himself "back and not dead."
