Summary
- Eleven executive members resigned citing leadership disputes.
- General secretary alleges undemocratic control by president and senior VP.
- Members claim show-cause notices issued to dissenters.

The Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) is facing significant internal conflict, with eleven executive members having resigned. These resignations stem from disputes over the current leadership. General secretary Upasana Singh has publicly accused president Poonam Dhillon and senior vice president Padmini Kolhapure of exercising undemocratic control over the organization.
Singh further alleged that individuals who do not agree with Dhillon and Kolhapure's faction receive show-cause notices. This practice has been described as a favorite tactic by the leadership. Previously, eight members had already vacated their positions, citing a loss of confidence.
During Annual General Meetings, members claim they were not given a chance to speak. One member reportedly received a show-cause notice for requesting a microphone. Disputes also arose during discussions, with one member being told to sit down and eventually leaving the meeting after a heated exchange.
Further allegations suggest that CINTAA's treasury holds Rs 18 crore, belonging to all members. Fresh elections for CINTAA are scheduled to take place on September 12, potentially reshaping the organization's future amidst these controversies.
