Paul Elliott, famed as one half of the iconic Chuckle Brothers, has recently concluded a cross-country charity cycle tour. Riding a novelty 'Daff Bike' from John O'Groats to Land's End, Elliott embarked on this journey to honor his late brother, Barry Elliott, who passed away in 2018.
The 78-year-old's tour served as a significant fundraiser for Marie Curie's Great Daffodil Appeal. As an ambassador for the charity, Elliott was motivated to give back after Marie Curie provided end-of-life care for Barry, who was 73 when he died from bone cancer.
Elliott's tour, which began on March 3rd and ended recently, included stops in various UK cities such as Glasgow, Birmingham, and Plymouth. He expressed his gratitude for the experience and the dedication of Marie Curie's volunteers and staff.
The Chuckle Brothers, including Paul and Barry, first rose to prominence after winning 'Opportunity Knocks' in 1967 and 'New Faces' in 1974. Their career spanned decades, including the hit BBC series 'ChuckleVision,' which ran for 292 episodes from 1987 to 2009 and is remembered for its catchphrases and visual gags.
