Christian Nodal's enduring hit "No Te Contaron Mal" has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing one billion views on YouTube. This accomplishment positions it alongside his earlier success, "Adiós Amor," making it the second of his songs to reach this coveted status.
The 2018 single, featured on Nodal's 2019 album "Ahora," was co-written with Edgar Barrera. The collaboration proved fruitful, leading to the song's immense popularity and critical acclaim, including a Latin Grammy win and recognition as the regional Mexican song of the year at the BMI Latin Awards.
Barrera recalled the organic writing process for "No Te Contaron Mal," which tells a story of infidelity. He and Nodal famously penned the song in just 30 minutes during a trip to Jalpa, Mexico, a location noted for its lack of connectivity, fostering a focused creative environment.
