Wrestler Jericho to Portray Gorgeous George

Chris Jericho will embody wrestling legend Gorgeous George in Ben Watkins' upcoming Prime Video limited series, 'The Greatest.' The show focuses on the life of Muhammad Ali, with all eight episodes scheduled for release on November 4.

Gorgeous George, a pioneering figure in sports entertainment, became a television sensation known for his flamboyant persona and self-promotion, notably influencing a young Muhammad Ali. Jericho's portrayal will feature in the series' fourth episode.

'The Greatest' delves into key moments of Ali's life and career, both within and outside the boxing ring. The cast includes Jaalen Best as Ali, Omari Hardwick and Dana Gourrier as his parents, and Amin Joseph as rival Sonny Liston.

Created by Ben Watkins, the series is the first authorized scripted look at Ali's life. It is executive produced by Ali's widow, Lonnie Ali, along with Michael B. Jordan's Outlier Society and other production companies.

Jericho, also a prominent wrestler, has recent acting credits including 'Tracker' and 'Margo's Got Money Troubles,' with an upcoming appearance in 'Dexter: Resurrection.' He also executive produced 'Vietslam: Squashing the Cultural Gap.'
